In weight GRG boards have about 21% water combined with crystalline state in gypsum. It blocks the passage of heat and retards the passage of fire. The quantity of water is slowly converted into steam. After repelling the fire it dissipates the heat. The fist 120 describes the structural Stability, the period in minutes after failure might occur as the partition may collapse. The second 120 describes the integrity, the period in minutes after, GRG boards have sound resistance properties in comparison to standard Boards. It helps to maintain noise reduction in construction.
